Sorry blog.

I've neglected you due to my recent creative frenzy. You see, sculpey and British television shows have taken over my life.

I plan on polishing you up until you gleam like a diamond.

Then I'll allow you to become friends with other blogs.

Forgive me?

Happy Holidays, suckers!

A little cranky Santa to make the seasons merry and bright. He doesn't want your milk and cookies.

Santy Claus, watercolor and acrylic, 4 x 6, 2011

I'm a terrible person and don't have a drawing for the Hannukah and Kwanzaa folks, sorry! But at least you don't have to deal with a pissy St. Nick, right?

Jan Svankmajer

Pre-Tim Burton, eerie, quirky, kind of gross, thoughtful use of symbolism. Watch iiiit.

Eyvind Earle

One of my favorite artists

Eyvind Earle (April 26, 1916 – July 20, 2000) was an American artist, author and illustrator, noted for his contribution to the background illustration and styling of Disney animated films in the 1950s. The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, Rahr West Art Museum, Phoenix Art Museum and Arizona State University Art Museum have purchased Earle's works for their permanent collections. His works have also been shown in many one-man exhibitions throughout the world. (Wikipedia)

For your inner monster

Happy belated Halloween :)

The only and original

An article from the Juxtapoz Magazine website had a feature about the exhibit; Houdini, Art and Magic currently in San Fran. I saw this when it was in NYC and one of my professors from several semesters ago has/had a piece in it. Really rad exhibition, totally recommend it.
